How to Change Default Homepage in Mozilla Firefox

Using this tweak you will be able to change the default homepage from Firefox start to your desired link. After this, whenever you press “Restore to Default” in the homepage selection you arrive at your desired link. Here’s How you can change default homepage in Mozilla Firefox :-

  1. Open Firefox folder present in your Program Files and find a file named browserconfig.properties
  2. Open it in notepad and you will see the following text:
    browser.startup.homepage=http://en-US.start2.mozilla.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:officialbrowser.startup.homepage_reset=http://en-US.start2.mozilla.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official
  3. Replace the Firefox start homepage link i.e, http://en-US.start2.mozilla.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official with your desired link and save the file and exit.

That’s it!! You have successfully changed the default homepage in Mozilla Firefox.

  1. I really like Firefox, and a lot better than Explorer. We don't even use Explorer anymore. I"m glad they came out with Firefox
