Before giving out the phone’s final review, let us first see what it has to offer.

Display

The phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and has a resolution of 1080×2380 pixels that equates to 432 pixels per inch of the display. Pixel 5 phone is dust and water-resistant until the depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes, known as IP68 resistant.

The dimensions of the phone range up to 6 inches. It has an OLED display along with 90Hz, and high dynamic range.

In the case of display, the phone carries similar or lesser features than Pixel 4.

Memory

The Pixel 5 Google phone has a memory of 128 GB and 8 GB RAM. However, it doesn’t contain an expandable memory slot. Thus, the users are limited to 128 GB of memory only. The previous versions of Google Pixel were also devoid of this addition.

Features

  1. Octa-core processor with Adreno 620 GPU. The phone supports the Android 11 version.
  2. Stereo sound support without the USB jack.
  3. Rear-mounted fingerprint sensors, along with other sensors such as barometer, accelerometer, and gyro.

Battery Life

The phone provides a Li-ion non-removable battery of 4080 mAh. One of the features to note here is that the phone offers three types of charging- reverse charging, wireless charging, and regular cable-based charging.

It is one of the rare collections of phones that supports reverse charging, a phenomenon that allows you to charge other devices on the go through your phone.

Camera

The Pixel 5 5G Google phone provides a dual and ultra-wide rear camera of 16 MP and 12.2 MP. The front camera is 8 MP with Auto-HDR feature.

Adding more to it, the phone price can also be reduced due to multiple EMI, credit/debit card discounts, and buy-back options. It has been currently listed on various platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart. However, very few are left in stock due to a surge in demand.

Is the Google Pixel 5 launched?

Yes, the Google Pixel 5 was announced in September 2020 and was released in the consequent month. You can buy the phone on all the leading e-commerce stores that provide the phone with additional accessories and warranty.

Final Review of the Pixel 5 5G Google Phone

As we have seen the Pixel 5 5G Google Phone specifications, it comes with its few pros and cons. While it provides the best RAM that makes the phone execute multiple functions smoothly, the camera doesn’t seem promising, as reviewed by the buyers. Let’s discuss all of them and know whether it is worth it or not.

Pros:

  1. The Pixel 5 5G works miracles when the apps downloaded through the Google Play Store are run in the background. Thanks to the huge 8 GB RAM that can handle multiple processes in the environment generously.
  2. The rich display of the phone makes it attractive to use, and that is one reason OLED screens are a blessing.
  3. The phone’s compactness doesn’t make it too big or small to be a fit in the user’s hand. Thus, the overall aesthetics of the phone seem to be easy to utilize.

Cons:

  1. The camera seems to perform down the user’s expectations as it is just a dual camera, whereas other competitors in the market provide up to multiple cameras with high definition.
  2. No memory slot unit makes it a task for the user to backup all the data from the phone to the cloud or another mobile storage device to make sure that his phone has space for the other files.
  3. There is no headset input compatible with the 3.5mm jack. Thus, the user must have headphones that are compatible with C-type cable or Bluetooth connectivity to listen through ears.
  4. The battery life could have been improved on the Pixel 5 5G Google phone as other competitors provide quicker charging. Thus in terms of battery, the phone seems to disappoint a little.

Lastly, considering all the above factors, the phone sets apart from its features but is slightly on the side of overpriced when paying for the above specifications. If we compare the phone with its previous versions, those stood out to be worthy of the price. Hopefully, these specifications improve in the consequent versions of the Pixel 5 5G Google phone and are one of the best buys globally.
